Cover Deliveries Driver – casual, ad-hoc role
We’re seeking a responsible, efficient and physically fit driver to support us to consistently pack and deliver bakes across Leeds.
Our cover deliveries drivers work on an ad-hoc basis, covering emergency sickness and holidays.
We’re looking for drivers with a clean license, who are aged 25 or over (for insurance purposes) and have experience driving electric vans.
Deliveries drivers at Leeds Bread Co-op both pack AND deliver our bakes. For that reason we’re looking for someone with the following qualities;
– Strong organizational skills
– Food & Hygiene aware
– Time conscious
– Effective communicator
– Physically able to lift heavy loads and step in and out of the van unaided
– Confident problem solver
– Comfortable solo working
– Able to work shifts starting as early as 3.30am

Ilkley Market Stall team member (Driving essential) – casual
Hours: 10 hours per month
When: 1st Sunday of every month, 6.30am – 4.30pm.
Pay: £13.45 p/h
The Applicant must;
- Have a valid drivers license and be at least 25 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years experience driving a long wheel base van (experience driving an electric vehicle is not essential, but preferred)
- Be enthusiastic about real bread and able to learn about our products and describe and recommend them to customers.
- Be able to lift heavy loads and be on their feet most of the day, and not be put off by early mornings or terrible weather.
- Work well with others
- Work at a good pace throughout the shift
- Have a good understanding of Food safety & hygiene practices
Ideally the applicant would also;
- Have experience working in sales

This position is to staff our monthly Ilkley market stall. The successful applicant will be responsible for solo packing and transporting our products from the bakery in LS7 to Ilkley, using our Leeds Bread Co-op delivery van. They are responsible for putting up the gazebo, setting up the stall and selling the products to our customers in a friendly & efficient manner. As it is a very busy market, there will be another member of staff there for 4 -5 hours to help manage the queue. At the end of the market, they will pack everything away in the van and transport everything back to the bakery.

Oakwood & Horsforth market team member – casual
Hours: 16 hours per month
When: 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month, 6.30am – 2.30pm
Pay: £13.45 p/h
The Applicant must;
- Be enthusiastic about real bread, be able to learn about our products and ready to describe and recommend them to customers.
- Be able to lift heavy loads and be on their feet most of the day, and not be put off by early mornings or terrible weather.
- Work at a good pace throughout the shift
Ideally the applicant would also;
- Have experience working in sales
- Have good knowledge of food safety & hygiene practices
The applicant for this position does not need to have a driving license, as they will be dropped off and picked up by our deliveries team.
This position is to staff our monthly Oakwood and Horsforth market stalls. The successful applicant will be responsible for packing up our market products for transport from our bakery in LS7 to the market location, putting up the gazebo, setting up the stall and selling the products to our customers in a friendly & efficient manner. They will then get everything ready to be put back in the van in time for pick up by our deliveries team, who will transport you back to the bakery to unload.
